How To Get A Detailed Test Run Report

In order for your test executable to generate an HTML report, you need to ensure you have the HTML Generator integration installed in your Suite. I like to use this integration in conjunction with the Alchemy GUI Execution Console which allows you to see the status of the run as it happens in your browser.

To add an integration:

  1. Open your Suite and click the Integrations tab.
  2. Click on Add Integration
  3. Choose HTML Generator (and any other integrations you wish to use)
  4. Click Add Selected.
  5. Save your suite
  6. You will now see the chose integrations are part of your Suite integration list.

Now that the integrations are set, click the Build Executable button at the top of the Suite.

Download the generated executable to your file system location where you will run it from.

Next, open a command prompt and execute the downloaded file.

When the test run is complete, if you chose to use the Alchemy GUI Execution Console you will see the location on the file system where the report was generated. Otherwise look for a folder in the same location you saved the executable file that is named something like “1737046728584”

Inside this folder is a file named “index.html”. Open this file in a browser and you will see the detailed test run report summary.

For detailed information for each test ran, click the Test Name.
